Delivery Information

We sell our topsoil’s and landscaping materials in large bulk bags, which provide a clean and tidy means of delivery whilst the empty bags are great for garden rubbish, although we are always happy to recycle our bags for re-use should you wish to return them. Where larger quantities of material are required, we also offer 10 and 20 ton loose load options, which are delivered in 6 and 8 wheeler trucks respectively.

 

Delivery Schedule

In normal circumstances you should allow 3 to 4 working days between placing an order and delivery depending on the postcode you live in. However should an order be URGENT, we will do our best to provide a faster delivery service. When placing an order is urgent, please mark your order accordingly or telephone the office.

Please be advised that although we will do our best to meet the above delivery times, they are subject to matters out of London Topsoil Company’s control, such as severe weather conditions, industrial action by delivery company staff, etc. Whilst every attempt will be made to get your order to you on time, London Topsoil Company will not be held responsible for delays and the late arrival of goods.

Standard Delivery areas are within London and the Home Counties. If you require delivery outside these areas or within the UK, we will endeavor to accommodate each request but this will be dependent on 3rd party hauliers accepting the order requested.

 

Delivery Method

All products and materials are delivered by our own or sub contracted vehicles. All bulk bag deliveries are made using an 18 ton 6 wheeler tipper with grab.

10t loose loads are delivered using an 18 ton 6 wheeler tipper whilst larger loads up to 20t are delivered using a 20 ton 8 wheel tipper.

Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will be to the kerbside at the delivery address. If delivery is to be within the perimeter of the premises, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate access for the delivery vehicle. It is further agreed and understood that, at all times, it will be the delivery driver’s decision as to the adequacy of the access and the delivery driver’s decision is final. In the event of inadequate access, delivery will be made at the kerbside of the delivery address. In the event that a customer wishes us to deliver to their premises, this is done on the strict understanding that we, London Topsoil Company, take no responsibility what-so-ever for any resultant damage.

Occasionally different products contained in the same order may be delivered separately.

 

Access

If you have a problem with access, low bridges, narrow single lanes, weight limited roads, exceptionally steep driveways or hills, please advise us at the time of placing your order. Failure to do so, which results in us unable to complete the delivery, we reserve the right to charge in full.

 

Returning My Order

If you are not satisfied with your order you must advise us immediately and return your order to us whilst our driver is still at the delivery point. If you do return your order then you may still have to pay the delivery charge, which will be subject to the nature of the complaint.

 

Next Day Delivery

We may be able to accommodate next day delivery on urgent orders – please request at the time of ordering and you will be advised of availability and any additional costs if applicable.
